Bruker Nano Surfaces Metrology manufactures the world&#39;s leading Atomic Forces Microscopes, Stylus profilers, Mechanical Testers, X-Ray Diffractometer and non-contact 3D optical microscope instrumentation. This technical role responsible for customer direct post-sale instrumentation and application support including: installation, user and application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, and post-sale applications support. Empower customers to optimize performance of their BNSM instrument through support and instruction including but not limited to:<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>a. Teaching Theory of operation and training new users on instrument operation<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>b. Demonstration of instrument ability on non-standard samples<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>c. Provide post-sale user and application training and support<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>d. Provide customer specific post-sale application support<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>e. Experiment, test, develop, and optimize application protocols<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>f. Author application notes, user/applications procedures, and user/applications training material</p><p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">30% service activities including:<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>2. Install and qualify BNSM instrument, upgrade, and/or accessory including but not limited to:<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>a. Uncrating instrumentation and interconnection of sub-components and assemblies<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>b. Instrument start-up troubleshooting<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>c. Qualification of the instrument and accessories using standard and non-standard customer samples.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>3. Work directly with customers to diagnose BNSM instrument issues including but not limited to<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>a. Diagnose, research, experiment, test, develop, optimize, communicate, and execute the most efficient solution plan for complex electro mechanical hardware/software instrument issues.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>b. Create and maintain record of activity in support database<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>4. Preventative maintenance on BNSM instrumentation which can include but not limited to:<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>a. Basic maintenance and calibration of instrument and accessories<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/>b.
